Oscar Fish Secrets

Dear Oscar Fish Fan:
Oscar. Tiger Oscar. Velvet or marble chichlid. Whatever you call them,
Astronotus ocellatus
are fascinating fish.
But for me, that fascination led to disaster!
Like many who decide to get Oscars, I thought they seemed cool.
I'd kept an aquarium before. I still had the tank. So I figured setting up a couple Oscars should be a breeze.
Turns out, I did just about everything wrong.
As soon as I brought Molly and Max home from the pet store, their fighting began. I had to buy a separate tank so they didn't kill each other.
Then Max hated his new home. He actually spit some of the tank decorations out of the tank and onto the floor!
I couldn't believe how much trouble my new pets gave me that first day.
And the trouble had only started.
Shane
your e book has done wonders. I have created my
tank with most of the knowledge that you have
shared in your book .I can't thank you enough, all
I have to say is if someone is interested in
starting a Oscar tank this e book is a must.
Thanks again Shane loggie I sent some pictures for
you.
Thank you,
Jason Lingham.
Shane's ebook Oscar Fish
Secrets is a must have for the Oscar enthusiast!
Beware though, the Oscar is definitely the
pit bull terrier of the
fish world.We had to
divide the tank to stop him eating all the
smaller fish.

Hi Shane,
When I ordered your e-book on
Oscar careI was a complete newbie in the care
of Oscars.I had just bought my first two.
Your e-book had everything I needed to get to
know my Oscars and how to take care of them.
Unfortunately I had bought my Oscars from a
local pet store and within 3 days they both
were passing parasites and were very sick. I
knew immediately what was wrong becauseI read
your book. It was too late to save my
Oscars.I bought 2 more about two weeks later
and to my horror they too died. I even bought
them from another pet store from another
town. To my surpriseI learned that each one
of these pet stores, it is a large well known
chain, get their fish from the same shipment
even though they are in another town 1 hour
away. These Oscars had the same parasite.
I now own 4 of the most beautiful
angel fish you have ever seen. They are happy
and healthy and are about a year old now.
Your e-book even helped me with my angels
because it has a lot of basic fish care
knowledge in it.
Thank you for your
expertise in fish handling. It helps us
newbies a lot. And the price was reasonable
and I got it instantly which is whatI needed
at the time.

Hello Shane,
My
2 oscars are fine and I really found your book
helpful especially regarding maintenance for these
special fish and what other tankmates are
suitable. I have a 90 gallon which is not big at
all with these fish.
Let me know if I can
mail you recent photo of my setup; I am not good
with digital cameras transfering info to
computers, although it is not
difficult.--------------Regards, Fred P.
Unfortunately Fred's pictures had problems
getting here but if they do I will update asap
Awesome! That's all I can say
about you ebook Shane. You have done a fantastic
job on it! I especially like the extra attention
you spent on the "hole in the head" chapter.
Keep up the good work!
Kerren
Dear Mr. Shane
The
Oscar fish secrets E-book is full of valuable
information and easy to understand even for
English not being my mother language. I could
understand the instructions regarding these
beautiful creatures.
Wishing you well,

Hi Shane,
I
have just finished reading your book. Thank you,
it is most informative as i know nothing about
taking care of Oscar's.
One of my daughters
gave them to me to look after as she had to move
from her house were she lived and moved in with
another daughter of mine who doesn't have room for
them. So i had to gain quick knowledge of what I
am dealing with, The Oscar's Barney and Casper are
a delight and I want to do my very best to take
care of them, Barney would be approx 8-9 inches
long(orange in colour) and Casper is approx 7
inches long and whitish with orange stripes. They
seem very friendly to eachother.
I am
having to clean the filter every second day as it
gets dirty quickly it is a hang on the side of the
tank one.
I have been given a canister filter
but no idea how to use it as yet, however I will
find out, it may do a better job filtering the
tank.
The Tank is 4 foot by 2 foot by 2
foot. No idea really how large in Litres that is
or gallons but will find out somehow. I would like
to get things right for Barney and Casper as I am
already just loving them so much.
By
reading your book I have an idea of what im
surpose to do and am pleased I found you on the
internet, thanks again!
Regards AXE
“They Say Experience Is the Best Teacher, But the Right Advice Would Have Saved So Many Problems”
The pet store clerk didn't have a clue. He didn't know what food the Oscars needed. He didn’t know what supplies I should buy.
I didn't know any of that either.
He didn't tell me Oscars either had to be housed alone or in a large group. Turns out if you put two or three alone in a tank they will fight. I learned that the hard way.
I had no idea how unprepared I was for my new pets.
So after that rough first day as an Oscar owner, I did some research.
I spent hours and hours reading everything I could find about Oscars. And I blindly followed everything I read.
Sure, some of the advice was great. But soon I realized a lot of what I read was totally wrong.
In a few weeks I had two very sick Oscars and the nauseating feeling I was in way over my head.

“Until You See the Results, How Can You Know If the Advice You
Get Is True?”
Advice about raising Oscars is everywhere.
But the fact is, much of that advice is just plain wrong.
Sometimes the people who give advice are more interested in peddling a product than in the health and happiness of your Oscars.
Others will give you advice with good intentions. But their experience may be from raising other breeds of fish.
Oscars come with their own unique set of challenges – believe me.
When your Oscars arrive at their new home, you’ll need to know:
What type of food you should buy to prevent future problems
What other fish you can have in your tank – that your Oscar won’t eat
What size of tank will help keep your Oscar from getting sick
How to know if you’ve got a breeding pair
Then later you’ll want to know:
How often to feed your Oscars
What symptoms show your Oscar is ill – before it’s too late
How to get your Oscars to breed – and how to care for their fry
Oh, and let’s not leave this out . . . You’ll want to know what to do when your Oscar lies on his side and loses all his color.
It turns out Oscars like to
play dead
. I learned that the hard way too!
“Let Me Share All the Hard-Won Lessons I’ve Learned From Owning and
Caring For Oscars”
I wanted my Oscars to have the best life possible.
So I took extensive notes on all my research. I tested the results and wrote down what was true and what wasn’t.
I put everything in writing so I could avoid repeating my mistakes.
Now after all those experiences, I wanted to put that information in a guide so others could learn from my mistakes too.
That’s why I wrote
Oscar Fish Secrets

In this guide, I’ll tell you everything I’ve learned about raising happy and healthy Oscars . . . the answers to everything I’ve already mentioned as well as these helpful tips:

How big your Oscar will grow
Why your tank matters and how to calculate the right size
What pH will make your Oscars thrive
Not only will you save the hours and hours of research, but more importantly . . . the life of your Oscar could depend on it!
