First, let me give you a little insight with a quick story.
I am the perfect client for this program
.  I grew up a skinny fat kid most of my life, when I finally got in shape during university I was determined to stay that way… but the best laid plans are put asunder of mice and men… meaning
I failed over and over again.
  But the good news is I failed over and over again…
…meaning
I succeeded over and over again, so you can too.
I got lean and fit by learning everything I could. Let me tell you I did not learn this in Kinesiology class, but at least it kept me focused. I learned all I could about nutrition and training, and practicing those habits every day.  This led to a great career as a personal trainer, gym manager, nutrition store manager and eventually after a few bodybuilding competitions a few gigs as a fitness model.
Not to mention being in great physical condition really has its advantages as a member of the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps (RCAC) and being first and second candidate in various QL courses (bootcamps) in Petawawa.
Being one of the fittest members of my unit really made life easier for me.  I got special privileges, got picked to do what I considered easy physically challenging tasks (which I loved).  I was almost single handily selected by my training officers for every hand to hand and POW training example… and I loved it, since I loved to fight, was good at it and stronger than all my peers.  Heck I even took on several officers in one POW training session and almost won until I blacked out with a choke and slap on the skull from at least 3 officers.  I know it wasn’t all military training.  I know it was my ability to call on my strength and power in a time of need that helped me through.  It was also due to being a big and lean 212 pound black beret that allowed me to run 15kms in full gear as well as the other tasks that made bootcamps soo much fun for me.
By the time I was 22 I was a sought after personal trainer with a pretty solid system for getting results for my clients.  I was taking on more and more clients and raising my rates almost monthly before I just got overwhelmed with work and hiked my rates way up and reduced my client list dramatically.  This was good for me and my clients as it increased my down time and increased my focus and their results.
I had programs to help people gain weight or lose weight.  I had several sport specific programs for various sports, goals and seasons to increase power, speed and performance.
I had my own programs to “grow” and “cut” and it was a constant fluid cycle of progress.
Well even the best of us fall off the wagon.  During one of my “muscle building” phases, I got into a rut and a poor party mindset of a “see-food” diet and kept “growing” into a “fat and lazy” program. 
Yeah, I grew.  I trained hard and smart, but I wasn’t watching my diet and I knew all the rules.  I gained WY more fat than I should have.
I figured NO BIG DEAL, I’m the GUY that everyone turns to when they want to get in great shape, I can just kick in a quick diet whenever I want and be contest ready.  Yeah RIGHT!
I knew that a good 12 weeks of dieting would have me back to single digit bodyfat levels, so I kept on bulking with the big boys.  And BULK I DID!
Over the years I went through cycles of bulking and cutting and in my last BIG BULK, I got to a HUGE 263 pounds.
Yeah there are bigger guys out there, but at 5 foot 9, that is pretty big.
The problem was that I was hovering at 28% body fat and for a competitive bodybuilder and calendar cover model that is NOT good.
All my insecurities were coming back
.  The very reasons that drove me to create this big muscular suit of armour to protect my fragile insides were attacking me from the inside and outside.  People who never knew me as a kid were using the same taunting nick name
“fatty paddy, fatty paddy…”
Serious?! Some little 5 foot nothing skinny as a rail drug using guy I worked with was mocking me and beating me mentally… I felt like
“HULK want to smash puny man!”
He had no idea how badly he hurt me and we were both grown men at that point.  REDICULOUS!
I always figured I had all the time in the world to get back in shape, but apparently I didn’t.  I had to find some added motivation, not just his taunting.
I figured 24+ weeks of dieting then planning for a contest would do the trick.  Reality check, my pass to the next level of bodybuilding was about to expire and I had to compete and place Top 3 in the next 16 weeks or go back to level 1 local shows… and waste the last 6 years of working my butt off and competing two to three times a year to get where I was… forget it.
To make matters worse, I got a call from my go to modelling connection, who said they had a new project and needed me in shape in the next 8 weeks or the gig would go to a friend of mine and this one was for some good money and exposure.
So time was NOT on my side.
Have you ever felt like your body doesn’t reflect who you are?
I am sure you have.  We ALL have at one time or another and it SUCKS!
It’s like your body is supposed to be the real physical external version of you, right?
I knew everything to do, what and when to do it and how to coach others to look and feel great and lots of professional experience, however there was one small problem: I didn’t look like ANY of those things.
As a young boy, I was skinny.  Then I got fat.
  I hated both versions of me growing up.  Now I was sitting there pressed for time on multiple sides and I was confronted by my mental insecurities at the worst possible time.
I looked in the mirror, snapped a few pictures, assessed the situation and formulated a game plan.
I figured I had to lose
50 PLUS
 pounds of pure
FAT

possibly more in
16 SHORT weeks
.
What made this worse is that as I am sure you have heard the last 10-15 pounds are always the hardest to get rid of.
Let me tell you getting started on the first 10 to 15 pounds aren’t a picnic either.
I typically had a game plan for losing fat slow and methodical like,
not fast and furious.
I knew I would never be ready in time and there was no way I could lose all the fat and step on stage.
Not with my standard traditional methods.
I was lost, confused and frustrated.
Good thing my ego and my training partner were stronger than I was; otherwise I would never had gotten started.
I was as insecure about my failures as I was about my success.
  YES even succeeding scared the heck out of me because I knew it was going to take a butt load of HARD work and I still might fail.
But there was one very motivating training partner and an even bigger motivating thought in my head…
I did not want to keep meeting with my friends and being the “BIG” guy.
Whether I was meeting with my friends of old days or new friends, I was always insecure and hated being the
“BIG” guy
or
“fat boy”
as some called me.
I always had this notion in my head that I would be the guy everyone talked about after a great reunion.  I wanted to be the
“looker”
as we aged, not the same SKINNY-FAT-KID with issues.
But right at that moment I was FAT and INSECURE.
I was embarrassed to even tell people I was a trainer and worked at a nutrition store, let alone tell them I did bodybuilding competitions or fitness modelling.
I was DISGUSTED with myself.  I was embarrassed; I was feeling like a FAKE.
How could I as a professional let it get this far?  How could I ever fail this badly?  Bodybuilding and “bulking” was a great excuse, but the reality was
I was getting fat and lazy
and SCARED of how much work it would take to burn the fat to get back in shape again.
I made the call.
 I called the promoter of the next bodybuilding event I was qualified for and asked for the papers.  He faxed them to me that day, I signed the paper, added my credit card info and froze in front of the fax for what felt like an eternity before I hit SEND.
But once I did, it CLICKED.  I CRAPPED myself!
(…no not literally… even though that is how I felt… but that would have been funny as anything)
I had less than 16 weeks to get ready and step on stage in less material than a bandana… you know
the banana hammock… grape smuggler
… whatever you want to call it, next to nothing.  There was no hiding now.
Sure I could quit, but I already paid the non refundable cash to the guy.  I already told my training partners I was going to do it.  I told my family and my girlfriend (now wife and mother of 3) that i was doing it.
So I did the unthinkable.  I told EVERYBODY!
Secret Strategy to Getting Shredded:
TELL EVERYBODY!
This goes against everything you want to do, but if you spin this in your head and get over the ego… and embarrassment of it all, it is a VERY powerful motivator.
I also knew I had to refocus everything I had ever learned, formulate a game plan that would have me losing more than 4 pounds of fat every week for the next 12 weeks.
Some of my programs worked better than others.  I thought of them all.  But nothing worked well enough or nearly fast enough.
I knew that every program would work… to some extent.
I knew from experience that all of these programs had risks and flaws.
Some worked wonders if I was already lean.  Others worked great if I was fat.  Yet others worked great, but only if I was willing to give up – LOSE – muscle and strength, which with my ego I wasn’t ready to give up, so that one was NOT an option.  Another program worked awesome but it took more time than I had to show significant results.
So I took the best of the best or all of them.  Call it
“best of breed”
and I mashed them together only incorporating the good stuff that worked and none of the crap and extra baggage that came with each one.
My primary focus of course was NUTRITION

.  You see, most programs put training first, but I knew from experience that nutrition is the MOST important aspect of fat loss and getting absolutely shredded in record time, then training, cardio and supplements.
This was one CRAZY idea, but I knew it was the right one.
I took everything and I made it
BETTER
.
I manipulated the
STRENGTH
of one program to counter the weakness of another.
I knew I had something special on my hands, especially when I applied the same strategy to my training programs.
I toiled over this program for endless nights, in a rush to get it ready before I ran out of enough lead time to be ready for the photo shoot and the contest.  There were nights I slept only a few hours, others I didn’t sleep.  I even called in sick so I could keep working on the program
(sorry Darrin… the truth will set me free)
After several days of endless hours, I finally had it all formulated.  I had something
RADICALLY DIFFERENT
and with almost
ZERO
sleep I hit the grocery store and the gym.  For the next week I did nothing but review and fine tune the program.  I was the guinea pig and there was no time left to test it out. 
I had 12 weeks to contest time and could not fail.
Over the next 12 weeks I stayed on the creative side of things.  Analyzing everything I ate, did, even my sleep and mood was charted.  I kept developing, testing and perfecting the nutrition and training strategy that would become the
Empowered Transformation System
.
12 weeks later I stepped on stage.
  My initial goal was to be 196 pounds at 6 percent body fat; biggest in the light heavy weight division, but there was one problem.  I gained muscle during the 12 weeks and ended up 204 pounds at 4 percent body fat and in the Heavyweight category.
I was the shortest in the class but certainly not the smallest.
I did my photo shoot and got more gigs out of the deal.  I was on top of the world and now I had a system that I was able to roll out to every one of my clients that wanted to lose as much fat as fast as possible and gain muscle at the same time.
All said and done,
I lost 59 pounds
of weight getting ready for that show. 
But if you run the numbers you will realize that I lost more than that.
Now you can’t walk around at zero body fat, so the real goal was to go from 28% body fat (73.64 pounds of fat) to 6% body fat
My lean body mass when I started was 189.36 (263 pounds at 28 percent body fat)
My lean body mass at the contest was 195.84 (204 pounds at 4 percent body fat)
I lost 65.84 pounds of fat in 12 weeks!
Even better than that I gained 6.48 pounds of pure muscle.
As if that wasn’t enough, I was still stronger than ever.  In fact I was still doing 3 sets of 315 pounds bench press and squatting 6 plates a side the week before the contest.
Let me say that again.

SHORT weeks!
I gained 6.48 pounds of muscle and lost 65.84 pounds of fat in 12 weeks! And I was STRONGER than ever!
I didn’t win the event, but I did place 3
rd
and qualify for the next level of competition.
It was from this experience that I learned 2 very important lessons:
1.It doesn’t matter what motivates you.
Whether it’s your vanity, insecurity, ego or some skinny-minny bugging the crap out of you or its the ideology of health, wellness and longevity, it if gets a fire burning inside and gets you attacking your goal, then it’s a good thing and the results will be amazing.
2.It doesn’t matter if you have never trained before or you are a professional trainer or athlete.
We have all been where you are today at some point in our lives, some longer than others and the good news is, there is a way to succeed.  We have all wanted to lose fat FAST and had no clue what to do or how to do it.

It doesn’t matter if you are clueless and made mistakes, gotten fat and tried like made to force programs, books and endless articles and programs to work for you with less than impressive results or if you’ve been stuck doing endless cardio sessions that fail you miserably.  There is a solution and others have done it before you.

How about the other hotties in Hollywood like Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez and Jessika Biele.  Fit, lean and healthy with nutrition and fitness lifestyles to envy.
We’ve all been lied to from research to crappy articles in magazines and gossip rags.
We all get the same crappy sources of information, most of them stemming from those nasty salesmen at the supplement companies trying to hock the newest carb-blocker, fat burner and cleanse product and fandangle “ab-er-cisers” and the likes.
Most of it is just nonsensical.
The reality is that
NO
supplement is going to instantly correct what is part of our DNA. 
NO
magic pill will fix 2 or 20 years of fat over night.

Now here is another problem you have to fight with.

I am on day 3 of and like a few others I did weigh myself and have not lost an ounce… I am not letting this get to me as nothing usually comes easy or first try with me. I hope to have good results at the end of my 11 days and I will not weigh myself again now until that time. My question is….I do not know what is “just satisfied”, how do I guess on that feeling? Also, I re-read the rules and it states to wait for AT LEAST 2 1/2 hours and I notice after I eat the 2nd meal I can go about 4 hours without feeling hungry for 3rd meal, is that too long to wait?
